Raised in the city of Lille in northern France, Alain Lenne’s cuisine is inspired by the hearty and simple dishes that his Polish-French mother prepared. After settling in the Twin Cities in 1989, Alain quickly rose through the ranks of local restaurant operations, from waiter to maître d’ to chef and popular gourmand. His broad culinary resume includes stints at premier restaurants, including The 510, Un Deux Trois, A Rebours and Meritage.
In 2008 the entrepreneurial spirit and passion for cuisine gave birth to the brainchild of Alain as La Belle Crepe, a small creperie located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis in the Medical Arts Building.
Now, as the chef of La Belle Crepe Catering and Come Pho Soup, Alain extends his passion for innovative cuisine to Twin Cities diners who crave his food and enjoy his heavy French banter and zest for fun!
